ROHAN INCE QUOTES

“We actually had a conversation about this not long ago,” Ince said.

“He told me that I’m a physical player, obviously, and that’s how he wants me – dominating the ball, winning it back, winning my second balls and playing it simple. And that’s something I feel like I’m doing.

“I feel like he wants to give me game time, as much as possible, but it’s difficult to change a team. He needs to use everybody because it’s getting to the end of the season now, people are getting knocks, getting tired, loss of form.

“Most players prefer to start and affect the game from the start but if the gaffer wants me to come off the bench then that’s something I’ll do.

“It doesn’t matter who we’re playing, I want to be playing whether the manager says they’ve got a lack of aggression or not – I’ll play against whoever.

“It’s very positive at the moment. As the manager said, we’re not trying to get ahead of ourselves. We try to take every game as it comes. If this teams we hear that but we just focus on our next game.

“There’s a belief in the camp now that we can do it – we believe we can win a game playing nice football, we believe we can win in a gritty way or sometimes when we don’t play well we still end up getting results.

“It’s taken us the whole season to get where we are now. What we’ve been doing we keep trying to do. It’s not just an accident, we work hard on the training pitch and it shows in matches.
