After three games without a win Forest Green Rovers and Robbie Savage will be looking to bounce back and make it a February to remember in the league and FA Trophy.
The National League side drew away at Sutton and at home to Altrincham and then lost to Scunthorpe in the late DAZN kick-off on Saturday.
On Saturday, they host Wealdstone in the Trophy with the side only three games away from walking out at Wembley on Non-League Finals Day and with the top three all already out of the competition.
Rovers kicked off the competition with a 4-0 win over Weston-super-Mare before they defeated Ebbsfleet United 2-0 away from home at Kuflink Stadium in the next round.
In February, it’s a month that will decide where FGR end up at the end of the season with Rovers playing seven league games, including trips to York and Rochdale and a home clash against Carlisle.
“We want to win every game,” Savage said post-Scunthorpe. “I’m sure that we will re-focus, we’ve just got to play like that and take our chances and that’s the bottom line. If we take our chances today, we win.”
Savage has introduced lots of new players into the side over the January period with Ricardo Rees, Chibuzu Nwoko, Elijah Morrison, Gabe Kircough and Jay Mingi all coming into the side.
All of these moves have seen the squad numbers grow to quite a high level but with a busy period of games coming up there will be opportunities for Savage to share around the minutes and make sure the players are content with their playing time.
“Brilliant,” Savage said as he spoke about the new arrivals. “As I say I can’t ask anymore, the recruitment has been great, and you can see what we are trying to do.
“We’re ahead of the journey but it’s just disappointing because you can’t play that well away from home and not win.”

Rees joined for an undisclosed fee from Merthyr Town after scoring 23 goals in 25 games for the National League North outfit.
He has scored three goals in his first three games for Rovers with a brace on debut against Halifax but did get sent off in controversial fashion against Sutton.

After injuries to both Jordan Moore-Taylor and Ryan Inniss the centre-back situation has been light with midfielders Harvey Bunker and Laurent Mendy stepping into the back line.
“The club wants to go up.” Bunker said. “At the same time the FA Trophy is a chance for everybody to go to Wembley, and we want to get as far in that competition as we can do.
“Once we’re finished with that game, we’ll focus on the league and trying to get three points there and still push for promotion and if not definitely secure playoffs.”
