Vanarama National League confirms 2021/22 season start date

Gloucester City have a start date for their next campaign, as it was confirmed today that the 2021/22 Vanarama National League North will commence on August 14th.

Due to Covid-19, the 2020/21 National League North season was ruled as null and void, which was greatly disappointing for the Tigers, who were five points clear at the top of the table, and looking to be the likely candidates for promotion.

Gloucester’s aspiring division, the National League, will start the 2021/22 season a week later, with the matches kicking off on August 21st.

Gloucester City have announced that defender Jack James has re-signed his contract until 2023.

Sutton United are currently pushing for the National League title. They currently sit at the top of the table, with an impressive three games in hand over second placed Hartlepool United.

There are expectations of fans to be present for the matches, with the current Government roadmap allowing spectators at attending sporting events from May 17th.
