The top five stories from week 10 of the NFL

Week 10 of the regular season was filled with excitement, style and even more ridiculous plays, so here is five of the best moments from this week.

1.’HAIL MARY!’

Arizona took on the Bills in an NFC v AFC East showdown and with just two seconds left on the clock, Cardinals QB Kyler Murray launched an audacious throw to the endzone where DeAndre Hopkins was waiting to take the catch away from two of the Bills defense.

It will go down as one of the great hail mary’s of all time, with it possibly comparing with Aaron Rodgers’ infamous throw against Detroit, back in 2015.

2. Pittsburgh’s rampant form continued.

Pittsburgh Steelers went 9-0 for the season after beating the Cincinnati Bengals 36-10. They are the first team since 2015 to go nine games unbeaten, the last being the Carolina Panthers who went on to go 14-0 before losing Super Bowl 50 that same year.

Pittsburgh have remained unbeaten all season.

Steelers’ QB ‘Big Ben’ passed for a season best of 333 yards and four touchdowns, the veteran showing there’s life in him yet.

3. Miami Dolphins win their fifth straight game.

The Dolphins beat the LA Chargers 29-21 to take their record for the season to 6-3, with rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa winning his third game out of three as a starting quarterback.

The young QB out of the University of Alabama has impressed against the other up and coming quarterbacks this year, beating Kyler Murray’s Cardinals last week and Justin Herbert’s Chargers in week 10.

4. Ravens lose out to the Patriots.

Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens took their third loss of the season against New England, after Cam Newton’s side ground out the result in the heavy rain.

Despite being tipped to be contenders for the Super Bowl this year, the Ravens slumped against the Patriots after a rushing masterclass from Damien Harris and Rex Burkhead, as well as efficient and measured throwing from Newton.

This is New England’s second win in a row after a four game losing streak, but they still don’t look convincing as they sit third in the AFC East, above only the New York Jets who are without a single win this season.

5. Seattle lose for the second game in a row.

The Seahawks fell to another dismal defeat against the Rams in week 10, after QB Russell Wilson failed to throw a single touchdown pass and was sacked six times.

Seattle were the highest scoring offense in the league, but after defeat to the Bills last week and another loss against the Rams this week, the Seahawks look lifeless and Pete Carroll has a lot of work on his hands to get them back to the form they were enjoying at the start of the season.

Defensive Lineman Aaron Donald played his part in blocking the Seattle attack.

Credit is due to the Rams however, Jared Goff had the ball on a string throughout the game and threw for 302 yards, whilst their defence quashed any chance of a Seattle comeback. They are starting to look like the Super Bowl contenders they were in 2018, but it’s still far too early to call.
