West Brom women were held to a 1-1 draw at the Alexander Stadium over the weekend, which saw Middlesbrough retain fourth spot in the FA Womens National League.
Siobhan Hodgetts said her side “showed brilliant resilience, to come from a goal down. In the second half, we were excellent, and we were unlucky not to walk away with all three points.
In preparation for Leeds United at home, head coach Hodgetts maintained that more work needs to be done with the side.
“We could do a little bit more work in the final third, and the three points were there to claim. We’ll certainly take a point and take the positives that come with the result today.”
WBA women lacked in the final third over the weekend, and Hodgetts explains what exactly they’ll work on in training.

“Sometimes it’s the decision-making and execution; sometimes we could’ve moved the ball quicker. Sometimes we look at being on or around the ball, but we need to look away from the ball – whether that’s the switch or the furthest pass.”
However, Hodgetts was quick to praise Hannah George’s spectacular free kick.
“When Hannah [George] stepped up, she’s got a great left foot, so we were confident that she’d get us a goal.”
With the upcoming game fast approaching, Hodgetts explained how’ll she prepare the team vs. Leeds.
“We’ll have a look at our team and see who’s the best to fit in and play. We’ll go back into training this week, and we’ll look at that.
