A deal has been reached between Gary Lineker and the BBC for the presenter to return to air following a weekend away from TV.
BBC Director General Tim Davie in a statement has said, “Gary is a valued part of the BBC and I know how much the BBC means to Gary, and I look forward to him presenting our coverage this coming weekend.”
Lineker took to twitter to express his thoughts following the agreement.
Last weekend’s Match of the Day coverage featured no pundits or commentary but his return to the TV screen will delight those who have watched the presenter for years.
