Jose Mourinho has been sacked this morning following a poor run of form which see’s the North London outfit sit seventh in the Premier League table, three spots away from the Champions League.
Club Chairman Daniel Levy said on the departure: “Jose and his coaching staff have been with us through some of our most challenging times as a Club. Jose is a true professional who showed enormous resilience during the pandemic.”
Ex-Spurs player Ryan Mason and head of the Tottenham academy Chris Powell are set to take over managerial duties for the team until June.
Initial reports suggested that Mourinho left due to the announcement of the European Super League, these have since been reported as false.
Tottenham face Manchester City this weekend in the final of the EFL Cup.
