Gloucestershire and Worcestershire Cricket Academy’s Players score big for Dumbleton CC

Gloucestershire’s Tom Borrman and Worcestershire’s Dan Holland are in the academies at their counties and have been doing well for Dumbleton CC the past few weeks.

Both cricketers play for Dumbleton CC, located in the outskirts of Cheltenham, who started their 2021 league campaign this weekend, Holland has already scored a century and two other decent scores.

In the first match of the season, Dumbleton CC took on Cheltenham Civil Service CC at home. Holland scored 100* from 123 balls and Boorman was caught on 16 from 22 balls by Chelt Civil Service CC’s wicket keeper, Craig Baker. Dumbleton won the match by 152 runs, Dumbleton batted first, scored 308/3 then Cheltenham CS came in and were bowled out for 156 off 28.4 overs.

Dumbleton kept their winning form going into the second game on April 24, putting 249/5 on the board off their 40 overs, then bowling Rockhampton out for 101 off 24.5 overs. Holland opened the batting for Dumbleton again, scoring 73 off 68, with 10 fours and one six.

In the opening weekend of the West of England Premier League, Dumbleton took on Biddestone CC at home. Dumbleton batted first, scored 220 all out with 2.2 overs to spare, Holland scoring 36 from 47, they then bowled Biddestone out for 194 in 36.5 overs and won by 26 runs.

Yesterday, Gloucestershire CCC Academy played Meyers XI at Millfield. Here is the end of Gloucestershire’s innings, from the 33rd over to the 39th over, where they scored the winning runs.

Booran, who is part of Gloucestershire CCC’s academy has kicked off the 2021 season very well so far here are his stats:
