Gloucester City’s fight for survival is very much on course as Mike Cook’s side look to take one step closer to safety.

Gloucester City have won consecutive games for the first time in all competitions this season after victories against Banbury United and Bishops Stortford respectively.

Mike Cook’s side will be aiming to make it three wins on the spin as they welcome King’s Lynn Town to the TigerTurf stadium this afternoon.

City remain in the relegation places but a third successive win will see them take another huge step towards survival, as they can leapfrog their opponents in the table today.

Cook’s side had not picked up a single victory in 2024 until last week’s trip to Banbury when they ran out 2-1 winners.

Cook has had to overcome numerous problems since his return to the club, with uncertainty surrounding the ownership in addition to a host of players leaving and arriving over the couple of months.

The arrivals of Theo Robinson, and Teddy Rowe on loan have played a big part in the recent positive results.

With the recent upturn in form there is a growing optimism around the club that Cook can keep the club in the National League.

Cook makes two changes to the side which ran out 4-1 winners as Liam Armstrong and Harry Leeson come in for the departed Zack Jeacock and injured Harry Emmett.
