A 1-0 win against Carlisle at the weekend, saw his side slide themselves into the top 10 in League One

He says his side is inspired by the club and every player is out there playing for the badge “I thought every single man put their body on the line for the cause.”

Despite just the 1-0 win against 22nd placed Carlisle, the Liverpool born striker is confident in the performance “Let’s keep getting the wins, let’s get performing, let’s keep defending the way we have today.”

Mangan has also adjusted to Bristol life well since following Barton from Fleetwood Town to the Gas in 2021, “We live in the city through the week, I spend my time in the city, and my family come down and spends time in the city. It’s an amazing city.”

Taking on his first first-time managerial role, the former Wrexham man, is on cloud nine, “I’m absolutely loving it, it’s an honour.”

Overall the boss wants to make it clear above everything, he’s “just so proud of the players and the staff.”
