Only the FA Cup could make a match between two teams that are THREE leagues apart a close game, well that is exactly what happened the last time these two teams faced off against each other in the reverse fixture.

When these two teams faced off on January 29th of this year nobody would have expected the game to turn out the way it did, fifth division side Wrexham managed to grab a draw against second tier Sheffield United.

The match finished 3-3 thanks to a 90’ equalising goal by John Egan stealing victory away from the non-league side, Wrexham go into this game away from home with every chance of pulling off an upset.

This match will be played just two days short of a year since Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney purchased the club for a fee believed to be £2m.

Since the takeover the only way has been up for the Welsh Side who find themselves 2nd in the National League just three points behind leaders Notts County who have played two games more.

Sheffield United also find themselves in second place but instead in the English Second-tier, seven points behind league leaders Burnley.

Both teams come into this in great form, Sheffield United are unbeaten in their last six games, with their last defeat coming in November at home Rotherham.
