With no Premier League football looking to take place for a while, the teams have instead decided to continue the action off the pitch, by making their own knockout tournament on FIFA 20.
Each team either had a player, or a famous fan represent the club in the contest, with the likes of Raheem Sterling playing for Manchester City and singer Tom Grennan using his boyhood club Manchester United.
After some thrilling games, it was Wolves winger Diogo Jota that was crowned champion, after beating Trent Alexander-Arnold in the final on golden goal.

The Portuguese forward was backed as the favourite before the tournament began, because of his impressive record on Ultimate Team. Although TAA put up a great battle and had chances to win the tie, Jota scored the decider in their second game of the final.
But, the 23-year old didn’t stop there, as his success on FIFA for the weekend continued when he managed to go 30-0 on FUT Champions and finish 61st in the World.

Despite Jota winning the title for Wolves, there were other games in the tournament that stood out for the audience.
Andre Gomez scored eight past Chelsea defender Reece James, whilst Wilfred Zaha and Raheem Sterling battled out a spectacular match with the result ending 5-4, with Sterling getting the winner late on.
But the standout tie was when the England forward took on England right-back TAA…
Swear this guy really knows how to complete comebacks… 🤦🏾♂️😂 good luck in the final bro 🤟🏾 https://t.co/fcCFNum0Bb

Sterling went two goals ahead and had chances to put the game to bed, but in the 73rd minute the Liverpool right back turned it on and scored two goals in quick succession to take the match to a golden goal scenario.
This scenario did not last long however, as Alexander-Arnold started with kick-off and went straight down the other end and scored a re-bound goal, to finish the tie and go through to the final.
If you missed the action, you can see the finals highlights here and we can only hope that another tournament is arranged soon, with the same excitement as this one.
