Cheltenham Town head to Plough Lane looking to bounce back against AFC Wimbledon following back to back defeats

Cheltenham Town travel to South West London today as they play AFC Wimbledon this evening in a League Two clash.

The Robins will look to stop their two game losing streak after losses at home to Colchester United on Saturday and away to Bradford City who easily beat them 3-0 at Valley Parade.

Michael Flynn was disappointed with the performance of the officials after Saturdays loss “Today we should of had two penalties, we had two stonewall penalties turned down by the officials”.

“The performance was borderline dangerous, Tom Bradbury suffered a broken nose within the first two minuets of the game on Saturday 20 minutes later Arkell Jude-Boyd got his teeth knocked out by an elbow” The Robins boss seethed.

The former Newport County and Walsall manager in also alluded to the easy misses that his forward line kept missing during the Colchester defeat.

The Dons sit in a very respectable 4th place, while the Cotswold based side are currently in 14th position in League Two.

With third placed Doncaster Rovers not playing until their fixture on Saturday against Crewe Alexander AFC, the Dons could find themselves in third place if they come out on top tonight.

A Town win would leapfrog them over rivals Swindon Town into 13th place and draw level on points with 12th place Fleetwood Town.

Goal difference would put them in 13th place barring a miracle result.

The Dons last outing was at home to Notts County which saw them win 2-0 for their first victory since February 15 when they defeated Salford City 1-0 also at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.

Cheltenham have not won since February 22 when they defeated Newport 3-0 away which followed a 3-2 win at home against Barrow AFC.

The bookmakers have the Dons as favourites at 8/13 and the Robins as a long shot at 4/1 with the draw at 15/8.
