Netting six times in four matches, Bristol Rovers forward Libby Davies has gone from strength to strength since joining the club from Swindon Town in September.
“It’s been great,” said Davies when asked about her strong start with the team, “I’m back doing what I love, which is scoring goals.”
“Scoring on my debut was fantastic, and to score five more times since then has been brilliant.”
Last time out in the Women’s FA Cup, Rover’s managed a 6-1 victory against Corsham Town in a match which would see the number nine net three goals against her sister, Nia Davies, in an experience the striker described as being “incredibly unique.”
“You don’t often get to play against your sibling, so it was a good day for both of us. We support each other both on and off the pitch, so we thoroughly enjoyed it.”
“It was good to get the win, but credit to her she played exceptionally well,” though despite the praise for her sister, she went on to add, “It was good to get the hat-trick against her, there is still that sibling rivalry.”
Davies joined Rovers last month, linking up with fellow Swindon Town teammate Gypsy Viveash who has also has a strong start to her time with the Gas.
“I’m really good friends with Gipsy [Viveash], and on the pitch at Swindon we linked up quite well so it’s also nice to come here and know that I have someone that I am friends with outside of football – it just made the move easier.”
“I decided to make the move because I felt that it was right for my career and my personal development. I like the ambition that the club has and that aligns with my goal, so it worked out perfectly.”
With Rovers currently sitting fourth in the FAWNL Division One South West, having won four and lost two league matches, the forward is hopeful for the season ahead.

“My ambitions going forward with the club are to build as much as possible, I understand that a lot of the team is new. So I think that we need to build together, and then push next season and hopefully get promotion.”
Davies is no stranger to promotion within the fourth tier having achieved promotion to tier three with Swindon Town Women last season as the Red’s secured the title on the last day of the 2025/26 season.
“I’m just going to contribute as much as I can and score as many goals as possible – score more hat-tricks.”
