Cheltenham Town have today confirmed the departure of defender Scot Bennett to Weston-Super-Mare on loan until the end of the season.
The English defender joined the club in the summer of 2024 alongside former manager Michael Flynn, but has not featured for Steve Cotterill’s side since their 6-2 win over Buxton in the FA Cup second round at the beginning of December, where he was subbed off at half-time.

Best of luck, Benno!#ctfc♦️
The 35-year-old was appointed captain by Flynn and made 29 appearances last season, which eventually triggered another year on his contract at the club.
However, he has struggled for game time this season after recovering from knee surgery and has only made nine appearances during this campaign.
Bennett heads to The Optima Stadium with Weston currently sitting 5th in the Enterprise National League South.
The centre-back is set to make his debut tomorrow night as the Seagulls take on Slough Town at Arbour Park.
