2:10 Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase Preview: Paul Townend features again, Dusart hopes to make a difference

The second race of the second day of Cheltenham Festival is nearly upon us, with the Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase almost underway.

With this in mind, Park Life Sports is taking through the main horses to watch, and see what their chances are.

L’Homme Presse

Past Form: First in Sandown and Cheltenham 2022, first in Ascot and Exeter 2021, sixth in Sandown 2020.

The bookies favourite, currently with odds of 7/2, L’Homme Presse will have many punters across the world watching on in hope.

With a team of Charlie Deutch as Jockey, the duo will be a formidable opponent for any team, but there are still many up for the challenge.

Ahoy Senor

Past Form: First in Wetherby in 2022, first in Newbury and Aintree, second in Kempton and unseated in Carlisle.

The bookies favourite to challenge the inform L’Homme, Ahoy Senor is coming into the race with odds of 7/1 and despite a lack of running compared to the favourite of late, will be hopeful of using the weather to their advantage.

With D R Fox as Jockey, don’t discount the second favourite horse from pulling of an upset.

Beacons Edge

Past Form: Second in Navan and fell in Leopardstown in 2022, first in Fairyhouse, second in Down Royal and fell in Punchestown in 2021.

Despite being inconsistent, Beacons Edge will be the wildcard for the race, and will be crucial for Team Ireland as they still look to catch up Team GB in the battle of titles in Cheltenham.

With odds of 12/1 with S W Flanagan at the helm, the duo are certainly outsiders for the race, but don’t discount them quite yet.
