The Gloucestershire Sports Awards are recognised as the leading event of its kind in the county.
Nigel Black, the head of marketing for the event has reiterated that the primary role for the ceremony is to “showcase the local success stories from grass roots right up to national worldwide achievements.”
The big award is the Sports Personality of the Year sponsored by Aspire, which is selected from all the other winners.
John Pitman picked up the award last year, having also won coach of the year having helped boxer and Professional Sports Personality of the Year winner Akeem Ennis-Brown win an English title.

From amateur and sporting heroes to the leading professional competitors, the ceremony seeks to reward outstanding sportsmen and sportswomen as well as our rising young stars.
