What to expect from the Gloucestershire Sports Awards

The Gloucestershire Sports Awards are recognised as the leading event of its kind in the county.

Nigel Black, the head of marketing for the event has reiterated that the primary role for the ceremony is to “showcase the local success stories from grass roots right up to national worldwide achievements.”

The big award is the Sports Personality of the Year sponsored by Aspire, which is  selected from all the other winners.

From amateur and sporting heroes to the leading professional competitors, the ceremony seeks to reward outstanding sportsmen and sportswomen as well as our rising young stars.

Tickets for the ceremony can be purchased from http://www.glossportsawards.co.uk/event/tickets/ and Black is expecting a bumper crowd, “total attendees are normally around 450 people, including the corporate sponsors involved in the event right through to the finalists with their friends and families.”

The awards ceremony will be hosted by TV and Radio broadcaster John Inverdale at Cheltenham Racecourse on Thursday, November 1 when the winners will be revealed.
