Bristol Bears have signed Ebbw Vale winger Toby Fricker on a two and a half year deal, with immediate effect. The winger is Welsh qualified through his father and came through the London Scottish academy.
Pat Lam has made the signing following the season-long injury to Ryan Edwards.
The 22-year-old has impressed in his two seasons in the Welsh Premiership, winning the best newcomer award in 2018, following his debut campaign.
He has experience with the Welsh academicals and earned selection for Wales in the Rugby Europe Sevens last summer.
Looking at his latest signing Pat Lam said, ” Toby has earned his opportunity to test himself in a fully professional environment. His performances in the Welsh Premiership have impressed us and he shows the attributes to be a quality winger.
