UFC London – Venue: 02 Arena. Date: Saturday 16th March

If you’re a fighting fan from the UK and you haven’t heard of Liverpool’s own superstar Darren Till then you must have been living under a rock for the past year. Till was thrusted into the limelight after convincing wins over UFC veterans Donald Cerrone and Stephen Thompson.

26 year old Till will be looking to bounce back after his last bout where he lost his title fight to Tyron Woodley in devestating fashion, but now that Usman is the new champion Till will fancy his chances at another title shot.

Tonight Darren Till will be looking to get himself back into contention with a win over Jorge Masvidal on a impressive UFC card.  Masvidal will be no walk in the park for Till as the former street fighting kickboxer has 32 wins in the octagon including a win over mutual opponent Cerrone.

Both fighters have said they want to knock each other out so fans can expect a war. However Till will fancy his chances on the feet with his confusing Mauy Thai style and height advantage. Till will look to be a lot more aggressive than in his last two fights where he was criticised for not throwing enough strikes.

UFC fans attending London will also get a chance to see another British Welterweight in action Leon Edwards who is currently on a 6 fight win streak.  His last fight was a win over…..you guessed it DONALD CERRONE! And his last lost came against new Welterweight champion Kamara Usman.

Edwards will have his work cut out with Icelandic Ju Jitsu specialist Gunnar Nelson who has 13 wins by submission on his record. If Nelson can get Edwards to the ground it could be a long night for him.

Ben Askren who is coming off the back of a controversial win over Robbie Lawler, has been in London this week hoping to make a fight with Till if he gets the business done tonight. If this fight was made it would certainly boost both fighters chance of a title shot against Usman.

The main card will start 8pm and will be show live on BT sport, it’s set to be a night of great fights so be sure you don’t miss it.
