The Revolution of Evolution: Gloucestershire’s leading wrestling company appoint a new general manager

Evolution Wrestling of Gloucestershire have appointed a new general manager in the form of TV and Radio Broadcaster, Lewis Nicholls.

The Cornwall-born presenter typically interviews celebrities on The Cornwall Channel, alongside having his own weekly radio show.

However, the 26-year-old has opted for a career change as he put pen-to-paper over the weekend for Gloucestershire’s leading wrestling promotion.

“I got speaking to the owner, Rob, about possibly utilising my skills in radio and TV and putting it into use in the wrestling industry” he told Park Life Sport.

“After a few weeks, Rob came up with the idea of me becoming the general manager of Evolution Wrestling.”

Nicholls made an instant impact in the company as he revoked Iestyn Rees’s no-title-match clause, which prevented him from competing for the Evolution Heavyweight Championship.

The new Evolution general manager announced via social media that Rees will be competing for Brendan White’s title at Snowballs & Suplexes, which takes place on December 7th at the Greenway Centre.

This isn’t the only change that Nicholls’ plans on making in the company, as he sets his sights on the future of Evolution Wrestling.

“I have watched various people at the training sessions and Dale stands out for me as the one to watch.

He has a great style and confidence within the ring – I have been so impressed with his skill set and he is someone I would like to progress further”.

Evolution have set the bar as being Gloucestershire’s leading wrestling promotion, and Nicholls intends on keeping it that way.

“We need to ensure we are setting ourselves apart from every other promotion, and I have already noticed that we do that.

“We have such diversity and talent within the company. I think utilising people’s talents and taking a few risks will make us a promotion that you don’t want to miss.”
