Ex-Team GB coach Ian Coley to compete at World DTL Championships

Gloucestershire shot Ian Coley is part of England’s Down the Line team for the World Championships in Wagga Wagga, Australia.

The former Team GB coach, who managed Peter Wilson to gold medal success at London 2012, will compete in the Super Veterans category down under between the 25th and 27th of March.

Coley is one of Great Britain’s most decorated shooters, and has coached at six Olympic Games, including London 2012.

The well-established local shot was awarded an MBE for services to the sport after coaching Olympic gold medalist’s Wilson and Richard Faulds, as well as silver medalist Ian Peel.

Coley owns his own shooting school and agency, which is based just outside of Cheltenham in Andoversford, and has represented his country over 200 times since starting in 1964.

The England team will be captained by Emma Holden, and consists of 14 members based all over the UK in four categories ranging from CPSA, Juniors, Ladies, Veterans and Super Veterans.
