After Darren Moore’s sacking on Saturday following the side’s draw with Ipswich Town, West Brom are hopeful of a return to winning ways against Swansea City tonight.
The Baggies are winless in three, with two losses against promotion rivals Sheffield United and Leeds United before a draw with bottom of the league Ipswich Town. This drop in from lead to the controversial dismissal of head coach Moore.
Darren Shan – who became a father for the third time last week – takes temporary charge of the Baggies and admits it will be a proud moment at the Hawthorns tonight. He told the Express & Star:
“It’s obviously going to be a proud moment. I’ve been coaching for 18 years now. Do I have the skill set to deliver on Wednesday? Of course I do. I have a lot of belief in how I work and what I do. In terms of tacticsit’ll be a gameplan to deny Swansea and exploit Swansea.”
