Forest Green are hoping to progress into the last sixteen of the Checkatrade Trophy as they travel to Swindon Town on Tuesday evening (7:45).
Rovers defeated Newport County at The New Lawn, before securing a 2-1 victory over Cheltenham Town in the group stages. They were denied top-spot by Swansea City Under 21’s who beat the Gloucestershire outfit last month.
Meanwhile hosts Swindon qualified from their group after wins over Bristol Rovers and Wycombe Wanderers, but the Robins suffered a home defeat to West Ham’s academy side in the opening game of the competition.
In the League Two table Swindon sit 12 places higher up the table, but David Flitcroft’s have suffered three consecutive defeats. Forest Green have drawn their last two matches against Exeter and Gloucestershire rivals Cheltenham Town.
