A BBC Panorama investigation is set to reveal new evidence over Sir Mo Farah’s relationship with disgraced former coach Alberto Salazar, set to be broadcast on Monday night.
Salazar was banned for four years in October 2019 after being adjudged guilty of doping violations.
Farah was coached by Salazar until 2017 and has faced consistent allegations over the last few years, which he has always denied.
Farah won gold medals in both the 5,000m and 10,000m in 2012 and 2016 under Salazar’s coaching.
The Times reported in 2014 that Farah was injected with L-carnitine, which is not a banned substance but was injected into Farah’s arm the day before the London Marathon.
Farah originally denied these accusations, saying there was “no chance” it happened, but later backtracked and admitted to the injection.
The Somali-born long distance runner was knighted in 2017. The Panorama programme airs tonight at 8:30pm.
