Max Holloway defeats Brian Ortega to defend Featherweight title

UFC Featherweight champion Max Holloway defeated Brian Ortega on Saturday to defend his title for the second successive time.

The bout was stopped at the end of the fourth round by the doctor who saw Ortega unfit to continue. It has now been confirmed that Ortega suffered a broken nose and broken thumb during the bout as well as some serious swelling around his eye.

This extends Holloway’s win streak to 13 in a row. His last lost was to former featherweight champion and global superstar Conor McGregor. With Holloway’s impressive record and attitude, we could see him follow in McGregor’s footsteps in moving up to lightweight as he has fought off almost all competition in the division.
