LISTEN: Manchester United vs Sevilla Podcast

Ahead of Manchester United’s Champions League tie against Sevilla, we discuss all things football as Mourinho’s men head into a critical stage of the competition.

Rashford Dilemma?

It is no secret that Marcus Rashford is one of football’s brightest prospects and at the age of 19 has already established himself as a fan favourite amongst the Old Trafford faithful.

After scoring a brace for the hosts during the home side’s 2-1 victory over arch rivals Liverpool, Rashford has surely put his name in contention for a starting place this evening.

Martial Misery

Since joining the club in 2015, Anthony Martial has struggled with settling into life at his current club. The 22 year old was signed from Monaco for a regional fee of £50 million, however has found it difficult to impress in the red half of Manchester.

With pace, power and an eye for goal, the Frenchman has still scored nine goals in all competitions this season and will no doubt give manager Jose Mourinho a dilemma ahead of his first team selection process.

Can The Red Devils Go All The Way?

It would seem unlikely at this present moment. Simply due to the threat presented by Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. To look past such heavyweights would be a mistake, but stranger things have happened in football. In fact, Manchester City are currently the bookmakers’ favourites to triumph in this year’s tournament.

After topping group A in the group stage, tonight’s hosts will be hoping for more of the same as they hope to secure victory over their opponents.

Threat of Sevilla…

The visitors have experienced a difficult season in their domestic league, currently in seventh position in the Spanish La Liga, however with players such as Wissam Ben Yedder and Luis Muriel, the away side will pose an element of danger.

Already boasting of 15 goals this season, the 27 year old veteran will be looking to add to his impressive tally. The forward will give the home side’s defence something to think about as he hopes to fire his side into the quarter finals of the Champions League.
