Jofra Archer faces racial abuse in New Zealand

Jofra Archer claimed to be racially abused during England’s Test defeat in New Zealand in the early hours of this morning.

The Barbados born fast-bowler was one of England’s cricketing heroes during both the Ashes and the World Cup this summer.

However, he took only one wicket as his side lost by an innings and 65 runs at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.

The England and Wales Cricketing Board are looking into the incident. This comes after further racial slurs were reported in September. An England fan said he heard a group singing a racist song during the fourth Ashes Test at Old Trafford.
