Hartpury RFC suffered their third consecutive Greene King IPA Championship defeat yesterday, going down 26-7 in horrendous conditions away to Nottingham Rugby.
The Red and Blacks were 18-0 down at half-time, as Nottingham scored two first-half tries and managed the wind and rain better than Hartpury.
The away side improved in the second period and scored a try through flanker Rob Langley to reduce the deficit and pushed hard to get back into the game but the conditions were proving difficult to play.
A try by Rob Langley brings Hartpury’s score up to 7, come on Hartpury!

Despite their efforts, a couple of penalties and a late try from the home side meant that Hartpury took nothing from the game and are just three points off the foot of the table. The Red and Blacks face another tough test next week, as Jersey Reds travel to the College Ground.

Hartpury now face three sides inside the top six of the league in their next three Championship fixtures and look set for a difficult period as we approach Christmas.
