Cirencester Town face Cinderford Town in the Southern League Division One South play off semi final at the Corinium Stadium on Wednesday, May 1 (7.45pm).
Cirencester finished second in the Southern League Division One South, as
former Cheltenham Town captain Michael Pook sealed their fate, scoring a penalty in a 1-0 win over Melksham Town on Saturday.
Paul Michael’s side secured a play-off place with a 0-0 draw against Winchester City, as they look to achieve promotion to the Southern League Premier Division for only the second time in their history.
Only four points separated 2nd to 5th in the league table, with Yate Town facing Moneyfields in the other semi-final.
Both sides were relegated from the Southern League Premier Division in 2016/17, and failed to make the play-offs last campaign, The Centurions finishing 7th and The Foresters in 13th.
The two sides have been hard to separate all season, they drew 1-1 when they last played each other in the league in January.
Cinderford will be hoping to match the result of their first fixture against Charlie Griffin’s side in September, where a Ben Watkins goal gave them a 1-0 victory.
