Gloucester United have named an exciting side for tonight’s A League game against Harlequins at Kingsholm tonight.
Charlie Beckett captains the side, in his usual role as leader of “The A Team”, following his start in Thursday nights 61-16 win against Agen.
The side also sees a return for scrum-half Harry Randall, who has been in superb form for Hartpury this season. Carwyn Penny starts alongside him at fly-half.
The front row features a blend of youth and experience with Paddy McAllister stating upfront with the England Under 20 pairing of Alex Seville and Henry Walker. The back-row boasts serious strength with Freddie Clarke marshalling at number 8 alongside flankers Aaron Hinkley and Will Safe.
Richard Whiffin has named a young back three, with Reece Dunn at fullback and Tom Seabrook and Ed Bogue on the wings.
Tom Hudson and Elliott Creed start in the centres, both have recently returned from injuries.
Young prospect, Jake Polledri, is among the substitutes tonight after featuring for Gloucester’s first team in their convincing win in the European Challenge Cup.
Last year’s finalists currently sit in third in the league after winning their opening two games against Bath and London Irish, however, a 64-14 defeat to Saracens Storm in the last round means they” be hoping to get back to winning ways tonight.
