Gloucester Rugby captain Ben Morgan: “There’s huge belief in the squad”

Following on from Gloucester’s resounding win over Connacht in the Champions Cup yesterday, Captain, Ben Morgan, head coach Johan Ackermann and Man of the Match Tom Marshall spoke about the game, the league and their consecutive losses.

After the game, Gloucester captain Ben Morgan spoke highly of his teammates “Massive credit to the guys over the last 5 weeks, when the chips are down and things haven’t quite gone our way not at one point has anyone put their head down, kept working and buying into exactly what we are trying to achieve”

“Its a Different buzz when you win, smiles on faces and you can look at things in a much more positive light”

Morgan said how they will “look forward” to the return fixture next week and hope to “build momentum from today’s performance”

Man of the match, Tom Marshall spoke after the game “It’s always nice to get over the line, it was a great team performance but the important thing was to score 4 tries”. This puts the Cherry and Whites ahead of Montpellier and Connacht in their pool. It also once again shows the importance of bonus points, without them they would still not be in position to progress.
