Gloucester captain Willi Heinz to miss Rugby World Cup final with hamstring injury

Gloucester star Willi Heinz has been ruled out of England’s first World Cup final since 2007 after suffering a hamstring injury.

The scrum-half picked up the injury in the 63rd minute of Eddie Jones’s side 19-7 win over New Zealand on Saturday.

Heinz has been replaced by Saracens’ Ben Spencer who will act as cover for the final against South Africa on Saturday.

The Gloucester captain will remain with the squad until the conclusion of the competition in Yokohama.
