Gloucester Rugby got their Heineken Cup hopes back on track yesterday with a 26-17 win over Connacht Rugby at Kingsholm.
The win moves the Cherry and Whites into the top two of pool five but they still remain six points behind a Toulouse side that have won three from three.
Gloucester went into half time in a losing position but second half tries from Rees-Zammit, Polledri, Marshall and Roux turned the game on its head for Johan Ackermann’s side.
Here’s a look at how both the fans and players reacted to the victory outside Kingsholm and on social media.

We also spoke to a range of fans who shared different views on the performance but all were delighted with the victory and the upturn in form.
Here’s what Gloucester fan James White had to say on the performance:
“They played well. I think we’ve not played well in the last few weeks but I think we were nearly there today but we played well and at half time we were down but we had most of the game. In the second half we ran away with it to be honest, the try at the end was disappointing but we got the bonus point and we’re still in the competition.
“We’ve nearly been there all season and now we’ve finally seen a performance that warranted our efforts.”James White, Gloucester Rugby fan.
