Three of the four semi-finalists for this years FA Cup will be decided today in a hectic day of action.
In the first game of the day, Watford host Crystal Palace in a repeat of one of the 2016 semi-finals. Both sides will see this game as a serious opportunity to achieve cup success, with their league positions relatively secure.
Watford boss Javi Garcia has no injury concerns, as Miguel Britos returns from injury. The other big decision is whether he sticks with Heurelho Gomes, who has kept three clean sheets in the FA Cup so far this year.
Wayne Hennessey and Pape Soure are both available again for Palace, but Bakary Sakho is out with a calf injury. This game represents a serious chance for manager Roy Hodgson to make his first FA cup semi final as a manager.
Championship Swansea host Premier League leaders Manchester City, hoping to pull off an upset similar to the one Wigan Athletic managed last season. The Welsh side are likely to be without top scorer Oli McBurnie due to an illness.
City are likely to be without John Stones, Kevin De Bruyne, and Vincent Kompany as they continue to chase the quadruple. Last season, they won both fixtures by a combined score of 9-0.
Most signs appear to point towards a comfortable win for the Premier League side, but this is the FA Cup, and anything can happen.
A busy day is rounded off with another big all Premier League tie as Manchester United travel to face Wolves. In-form United forward Romelu Lukaku is a doubt with a foot injury, but Ashley Young, Jesse Lingard, and Anders Herrera are all in line to return.
Wolves have already claimed the scalp of Liverpool at home in the FA Cup, and come into the game with no new injury concerns. Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo will be looking to go one better than the draw they managed at Old Trafford earlier in the season.
Both sides can be considered amongst the favourites for this year’s, and provides the winners with great belief that they can lift the trophy in May.
