England Women’s Six Nations: Bern and Kildunne star for England

England Women’s Six Nations tournament couldn’t have had a better start as they sit top of the table.

The Red Roses recently thrashed rivals Wales 52 – 0 at Twickenham, while they started off the Six Nations with a similar score line against Italy away at the Stadio Mirabello 7 – 42.

The women are proving their strength in this competition sitting joint top of the table with France on 10 points ahead of the French on superior points difference.

England’s Women’s Six Nations campaign continues this coming Friday away to Scotland.

Gloucester-Hartpury Women’s RFC have produced two starting players for the England squad in this year’s Six Nations, who are making a big impression.

The more experienced Sarah Bern, who plays for Gloucester–Hartpury RFC, has got 17 caps for England and since playing in the Six Nations has scored five points so far – scoring a try against Italy back when the tournament started.

Another player proving that experience isn’t always needed is teammate Ellie Kildunne. With only 5 England caps to her name, she has been consistent with 15 points over the two games, scoring three tries for her country.

The full-back and the prop after these performances will most likely be selected for the upcoming third round game this coming Friday.
