Captain Joe Root scored a terrific double hundred as England took control of the second test against New Zealand, but rain may prevent them pushing for a win.
Root scored 226, sharing a 193-run partnership with youngster Ollie Pope, who collected his first half century for his country.
In reply, New Zealand ended the day 96-2, trailing by five runs, putting England in a good place to level the series.
However, rain may get the better of England, with the final day of the tour set to be a washout, England’s bowlers will have to get a move on before the rain hits.
