Cheltenham Town Ladies come up against Poole Town this Sunday at St Andrews FC on the back of a second consecutive defeat to Brislington Town.
The Robins were beaten 4-1 in the South West Division One to leave them 9th on six points after nine games played, just two places above the bottom. Brislington meanwhile move up to 6th on ten points and have game in hand on Cheltenham.
Town were beaten by Brislington last time out prior to Sunday’s game in the FA WPL Plate 4-2, and have now lost five out of their last six games, conceding 22 goals.
The Robins are now looking ahead to Sunday’s clash against a Poole side who sit two places above them in the table on ten points, although they have played one game more than Cheltenham.
The game provides The Robins with a great chance to climb away from the bottom of the table with Poole on a barren run of form of their own, losing nine of their last ten games after a promising start to their first three games.
