Cheltenham Town Ladies have been without a permanent manager since Graham Fletcher stepped down from his role in early October.
Club Chairman Andy Liddle has stepped into the role on an interim basis, but is pleased that he will not be in the position for much longer.
Liddle told ParkLife Sport “I’m delighted to say that we have filled the management position. The new person will be taking up his role in March as they’re currently under contract with another club.”
With The Robins being a team on the rise, there were eight applicants for this role, but Liddle decided to not rush his decision.
“The individual that we’ve gone for is head and shoulders above any of the others and as a board we’ve decided that it’s right to wait for the right person.
“It would have been very easy to appoint someone tomorrow, as we had some very good candidates, but we’ve taken a somewhat tougher decision to wait and hand over the reigns in March.”
Cheltenham Town Ladies are unable to reveal the name of their next manager as it is embargoed. Liddle will make an announcement as soon as he is able to.
The Ladies have had a turbulent season so far, as you can read here. However, Liddle hopes that “this person will take the club onto the next level,” when their season resumes on the January 21st away to Plymouth Argyle Ladies.
