“Bored, fed up, and it’s only September!” – Robins fans react to Lincoln defeat and look ahead to Morecambe showdown

Cheltenham Town tasted defeat for the seventh time this season on Saturday as they were well beaten by Lincoln City at Whaddon Road.

The Imps cemented their place at the top of the table with a 2-0 win thanks to an own goal from Will Boyle and a Shay McCartan strike ten minutes from time.

The result sees the Robins slip to 19th in the table and only three points above the relegation zone.

Michael Duff’s side now have to turn their attention to Morecambe at the Johnny Rocks Arena on Tuesday evening in a crucial relegation six pointer.

The Shrimps earned a surprise away victory over Grimsby Town on Saturday and leapfrogged the Robins in the process.

Second half goals from Rhys Oates and Liam Mandeville secured the win for Jim Bentley’s men.

With both teams expected to be scrapping for safety come the end of the season, 3 points would be vital for both sides.

However, after picking up just two wins this season, Cheltenham fans are less than confident that their side can claim all three points.

Here are some of the thoughts of the Cheltenham faithful after the weekends result:
